Working for Network Rail’s Infrastructure Projects arm carrying out a wide variety of civil engineering projects for multiple internal and external clients. - From January 2015 delivered works to a value of works approx. £24m consisting of 9 bridge reconstructions, 2 bridge demolitions, parapet compliance works and track drainage under framework contracts on behalf of North West Electrification to allow for the installation of overhead line equipment. - Successfully delivered on time the £27.8m Eden Brow Emergency works to reopen the railway following a significant embankment failure.- Carried out a number of Geotechnical, Drainage and Structure Renewal schemes on behalf of Network Rail Asset Managers since Jan 2016. - Managing 4 third party funded schemes with a combined AFC of £15.8m through development and implementation utilising Network Rails civils framework.- Successful delivery of works to time, quality and budget requirements and, most of all, safely. Achieved outturn of £34.2m in 16/17.- Built excellent working relationships with all of my framework contractors, Asset Management teams, Electrification Sponsors and third party clients through my proactive approach to problem solving to ensure scheme delivery. - Extensive stakeholder management experience both internally within the rail industry and externally.

Primarily a learning and developing role with experience on several station projects in Manchester prior to working on the Manchester Victoria Station Redevelopment full time from January 2013. Established a clear role for myself within my team, whilst being in a development role, to work closely with the Principal Contractor to deliver the circa £2.2 million buildings & heritage package at Manchester Victoria. This included refurbishment and restoration of the façade of a Grade II listed building, 7 retail units, the ticket office, 2 canopies and an existing original roof whilst maintaining an operational station, working within live retail units and an operational ticket office. Led the organisation and planning of 2 temporary closures of Manchester Victoria’s concourse during normal service operations in conjunction with the Principal Contractor and Station Operator developing my knowledge of station logistics and operations.

- Supporting senior medical staff in several different hospital departments with the admission of emergency patients in relation to elective and clinic patients to ensure the patients were in the right place at the right time with the appropriate resources in place to treat.- Managing front desk duty station, including calls and queries from visitors and public often in difficult situations which allowed me to develop good communication skills. - Booking beds in a 1000 bed hospital for patients after reception into the Clinical Decision Unit and ensuring their transfer was carried out and recorded requiring attention to detail and to required data protection standards. - Whilst working in chemotherapy and hematology I was also responsible for booking treatment for patients whilst paying attention to detail and booking in line with procedures as errors in booking treatment would cause delay and/or distress to the patient. - Maintaining an accurate bed state as well as ensuring the timely and accurate completion of data relating to bed utilisation was available for daily and weekly reports.- I built good working relationships with staff on other acute wards as good communication and a willingness to be collaborative was essential to carrying out this role effectively.

The Students’ Union was engaged in a £5 million, 12 month duration building project to transform the facility to allow it to remain the best Students’ Union in the UK whilst maintaining the live operation of existing facilities and services for over 25,000 students. My main role was to protect the Student Union’s interests during the works which were taking place in a live environment, implement specific items of work associated with the building project and keep students informed about the works.- Developed and implemented a proposal to maintain public access to the building whilst works were being carried out. This included temporary signage, advertising to the public and training temporary staff to direct the public around the building when works commenced. - Responsible for identifying and implementing new ways of future proofing the building during the detailed design and implementation phases including advertising spaces, additional seating and expansions to retail units. - Worked closely with the Universities ceremonies team and the contractors to plan and organise the summer graduation, a high profile two week period with 4500 students and visitors a day, to the site with only some sections of the refurbished building being temporarily brought into operational use.
