I'm an insatiably curious, team-player that has derived a lot of experience and enjoyment from shepherding projects and products from concept to deployment in business and government settings. My diverse background has helped me to become particularly skilled at challenging traditional concepts and picking up projects from a non-expertise level to producing high-quality deliverables to colleagues and clients. I am passionate about learning new techniques and skills and sharing what I have learned with others in order to help foster collaboration and overall improvement in quality of work. - As a Data Scientist for a small startup I have had to wear many hats on a multitude of projects and have had to oversee projects from building infrastructure from the ground up, to live deployment for end-user clients.
- Created proprietary text recognition and translation pipeline to detect text on cards from images and videos using EAST text detection model to be then transcribed by LSTM based OCR software
- Created pipeline for creating computer generated supplementary training data for neural network models using captured images superimposed on random backgrounds
- Used Python in a Docker environment to develop proprietary AI/DL/ML & inference models to beused on Amazon AWS EC2 instances with Amazon Sagemaker for RocketML
- Helped to create scalable data pipeline for speech to text translation
- Created benchmarking templates to be used to test computation times for RocketML algorithms against Scikit-learn and Tensorflow using sparse matrix SVM CTR prediction data
