At this position I'm responsible to maintain one the of the applications of the Pricing area of CME. As such I'm involved in support, development, refactor and participate in distillations meetings. Also Lead the Stand Up meetings, the team follows an adaptation of Scrum. To that end we use Jira and Confluence for documentation. We are in our way of implementing continuous integration and delivery. Development is done in Core Java, we use Git as a code repository support by Bitbucket.

Moved to the Pricing Team within the same client, CME. The first couple of months updating several applications to be compliance to the recommended securities practices established by CME. Then we help on the refactor of a Legacy Intraday Pricing Application to make it from a legacy monolithic application to a more modular and up to date. Even tho this application need to process a considerable amount of messages per second, is more important the precision in the price calculation. For the first eight months worked on the elicitation and the documentation of requirements for the new point of sales system, Intellipos(1). This tasks were achieved by interviewing the users and developers of the legacy system and then documenting the requirements in use cases, business object diagrams, activity diagrams among others documents.After the initial eight months worked in the implementation of the integration of the new system, Intellipos, with the legacy system.Among my responsibilities were the development of webservices and RMI connections as also the logic to transform de plain data to java objects or tables in the databases, evaluate impacts in the application model, review cobol files and the quality of the information contained in those files for the implementation of data validation.
