My role included assisting with community outreach and attending community events in Atlanta's Neighborhood Planning Unit V. I assisted and supported the design of a fiscal agent resource process by researching potential local fiscal agents and helping to identify criteria for fiscal agent selection.

As an Honors College Ambassador, I represented the Georgia State University Honors College at a variety of events, including Prospective Student Visit Days, Counselor Breakfasts, Panther Previews, and the annual Honors College Founders Lecture. As a University Assistant in the Department of Economics, I conducted research on the landscape of poverty in the Metropolitan Atlanta Area. I collected data using the American Community Survey and the Neighborhood Change Database and identified patterns in poverty concentrations using ArcGIS mapping software. On April 11, 2017, I presented my research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference and was awarded first place Oral Presentation in Social and Behavioral Sciences.

As a social work intern at the Georgia Law Center for the Homeless, I engaged with clients who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. I utilized evidence-based practice, including motivational interviewing and a strengths-based approach, in conducting legal intake and bridge case management for our clients. I also worked to compile a comprehensive referral guide for resources in the metro-Atlanta area, and I worked with the social work team to develop our agency's Language Access Plan for clients with limited English proficiency.

My role at the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association was to manage day to day operations as it relates to communications with existing and future stakeholders, as well as help to capture, process, and organize data and tasks to ensure effective management of the programs and organization workflow.
