Panayotis (Panos) M. Papazoglou is an associate professor at the Department of Digital Arts and Cinema of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He received his PhD degree from University of Portsmouth, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and his MSc from Brunel University of London, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering. He has also a higher education degree in Electronic Engineering and the Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence from ASPETE/Greece. He worked as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Technological Educational Institutes of Athens, Lamia and Central Greece, Departments of Electronics, Computer Engineering (Head of Department 2015-16) and Electrical Engineering respectively. He teaches Computer Architecture and Microprocessor programming for more than 20 years with a total academic experience more than 26 years. He has received two best paper awards in two international conferences (Industrial Conference on Data Mining, Berlin, 2009 and 2nd KES Symposium on Agent and Multi-Agent Systems, Korea, 2008). Dr P. Papazoglou is the author of 14 scientific-technical books (12 in Greek and 2 in English -Amazon, USA-) and has more than 50 publications in international journals, book chapters and conferences. He is the author of the first Greek book about Arduino, entitled “Application Development with Arduino” which is best seller from 2014 (three editions) and the most popular book about microprocessors. His expertise is in physical computing with microcontrollers and microprocessors focusing on hardware development and programming, educational material creation, Arduino platforms and sensor systems. He is the designer and developer of various unique educational hardware-based devices that include microprocessor/microcomputer simulation, digital music instruments, digital art, etc.
