Provided technical support on the quality of the reproductive, maternal, and newborn health activities within the USAID's Afya Halisi Project. Afya Halisi was a health service delivery mechanism designed to support national and select county governments to reduce preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths.

Supporting Kenya's Ministry of Health in Health Care Quality Improvement Initiatives at both the national and county governments. This is through application of modern healthcare improvement methodologies with a mix of global, tested approaches with the country's own Kenya Quality Model for Health for better patient experiences and improved outcomes.

In my current position as RH/HIV Coordinator, my main responsibiltis include; Working with the health program staff to develop proposals and work plans to guide implementation of approved grants relating to reproductive health and HIV/AIDS; Support the field teams in the implementation and monitoring of the work plans ensuring that activities reflect the commitments IRC made to the donor and the community; Identify gaps in existing RH/HIV programs and work with the team to develop innovative approaches and mechanisms to address them; Ensuring integration RH and HIV/AIDS with other health sector programming; Review RH/HIV donor reports before submission; Monitoring RH/HIV budgets in collaboration with field management and advising the field teams appropriately; Recommend and oversee appropriate RH/HIV program evaluations and ensure lessons learned are fed back into program design and implementation.
