In 2013 due to global interest, PMWC was expanded to Israel, in 2015 to the United Kingdom. With the maturation of Precision Medicine, an additional US Conference will be added on the east coast in 2017 to Duke, 2018 the University of Michigan, and in 2020 The University of Pittsburgh Tal established the coveted PMWC Pioneer and Luminary Awards, which are presented annually to those who have made significant contributions to moving the field of Precision Medicine forward. Tal Behar has been the Executive Director of Silicom Ventures since January 2001. Tal has extensive experience in envisioning and producing industry leading events.. Under her leadership Silicom Ventures has launched over 130 high technology events located in Silicon Valley and abroad. Tal has been instrumental in growing Silicom Ventures from 25 to more than 250 members today.As the Co-founder and Executive Director of Silicom Ventures, Tal leads all marketing, business development, and operational efforts and serves as the voice of of the organization to some of the most prominent figures in the investment, business and political worlds. Prior to her role at Silicom Ventures, Tal studied law at Tel Aviv University in Israel. Previously she was a senior officer in the Israel Defense Forces for more than three years.
