Defence Media Operations Centre

• Project Officer for MoD-sponsored documentary and news programmes in Afghanistan and worldwide.• Led a team of 30 personnel preparing them to conduct a wide range of specialist tasks. Identified training requirements, and designed and managed training programmes to match both enduring and short-notice commitments at home and abroad.• Provided media-specialist input as part of the UK’s Task Force Headquarters. Contributed to future concepts and structures work and the production of strategic level policy and guidance.

Warminster

• Lead role for capability integration and policy development for Soldier Systems within Headquarters Infantry. Successfully coordinated the delivery of many projects ranging in value from £17M to £400M and managed all elements of risk associated with introducing them into service.

• Appointed manager to over 120 carefully chosen instructors and charged with delivering all training to over 1000 Royal Marine recruits. Answered to senior commanders with regard to training risks and issues at both the strategic and operational levels, and managed complex group dynamics amongst a highly capable and competitive workforce.

Naval Command Headquarters, Portsmouth

• Represented Royal Marines’ interests within the wider Royal Naval headquarters.• Responsible for formulating, writing and implementing Royal Marines’ policy across the Corps.• Responsible for the promotion of international engagement with foreign marine corps.• Organised and managed ceremonial events and liaised with civilian dignitaries to ensure smooth running of official engagements.
