Governance of enterprise transformationBusiness strategyEnterprise architecturesKnowledge engineeringAlong my career, I mainly focused on the capture and management of knowledge, as well as on the means for engineering knowledge capture, management, sharing, ...At the beginning I worked on pseudo natural languages for formulating knowlegde and leveraging the obtained specifications for generating applications.Then I worked on meta-models and their relationships wit the formal languages we created ; which naturally led me to embrace the domain of methodology authoring (techniques based on meta-models, approaches based on capitalization of practice and knowledge, ...)At the beginning of 2000 years, I participated to the definition and design of an architecture repository, and implemented a cross entreprise architectures repository addressing business and IT (Organization, Process, Information, Application, Infrastructure). This repository has been used during 10 years (until we moved to new supporting technologies) and provided worlwide enterprise architects with cross-enterprise content consistency, support for designing architecture blueprints and managing architecture roadmaps.Analysis and reports could be drawn from this repository and progressively we understood the benefit of such features to formalizing business and IT strategies.Therefore we added the management of formalized strategies to this repository and we simultaneously provided the support for governing the transformation of the enterprise.These foundations, and this experience led me to start a new experience following my retirement : teaching knowledge engineering at university (Paris I - Sorbonne) and Governance of Enterprise Transformation in a french engineering school (ECP), and creating this Arch4IE consulting company.
