There I was on the other side of the world, in Australia. This foreign country was to become my home for a year. Here, I mostly eked out a living with manual or agricultural work. This included, for example, painting, landscaping, construction site work, but also working on a pumpkin or watermelon farm. A fun time to look back on!

After gaining my university entrance qualification, I wanted to explore the world. Australia was my destination. To make the most of the time and earn some money for the trip, I worked for a specialist in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This is where the manual skills I learned during my apprenticeship came in handy.

After the internship, I was taken on in a part-time job. In addition to the tasks, I also did small jobs for Finaztream, in particular the management of a digital contract management system. However, the core task remained the CRM system, for which I increasingly became the sole contact person.

During my time at vocational high school to obtain my university entrance qualification, I started an internship at goetzpartners.goetzpartners is an independent consulting firm for all core business issues: strategy, M&A and transformation.During this internship, I was responsible for the Group-wide CRM system. This task included uploading and maintaining contact, company and key account data in the group-wide CRM system, supporting marketing campaigns and the creation of workflows in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

After my vocational training as an industrial mechanic, I used the bridging period until I started my technical college entrance qualification to consolidate the skills I had learned and earn a bit of money. During these 3 months, I worked on the production line at MAN Bus & Truck AG. I had to deliver the highest, error-free quality 7 hours a day under high time pressure. Because after 3.5 minutes, the production line moved on and the next truck was waiting to be processed. If the work on the previous truck wasn't finished, you had a problem. Even though it was only a short time, it taught me a lot about absolute focus, working under pressure and time management. The right preparation of the tools needed, a logical, time-efficient approach. These are all skills that this time taught me.
