Tata Steel IJmuiden, the former Koninklijke Hoogovens, is a landmark in Dutch manufacturing industry. In 2018 we celebrated our 100th anniversary. As a (senior) project manager for PTC (Projects and Technical Consultancy) I make sure the proposed solution fits the needs of the end user and is kept within given parameters such as planning, budget and quality. One of my focal points being a portfolio of sustainability projects, with Windpark Ferrum as a prime example. Since 2018 I fulfill the role of Project Manager Works for OSL, in which I am the primary contact for all engineering capabilities for the works. This includes warehouses, cranes, logistics, trains, railroads and harbours. Besides that I have finished projects for the Hot Strip Mill, the Basic Oxygen Steel plant and the Cokes and Gas Plant I.

Tata Steel IJmuiden manufactures hot-rolled, cold-rolled and metallic-coated steels for many industries. They include the automotive and transport industries, building and construction, consumer appliances and electronics, and general engineering.Our customers are car producers, automotive suppliers, specialised tube manufacturers, steel service centers and re-rollers. Our strip products are also used in construction, packaging, household appliances and yellow goods. Working closely with our customers, we provide technical information, engineering solutions, supply-chain management and end-product development. At Tata Strip Products IJmuiden 9,500 employees annually produce 6.9 million tonnes.
