Two of my favorite activities are learning, and teaching. One of my favorite topics to learn about, and to teach others about, is the sea. Ever since I was a small child, I have been fashioning my fascination with the sea into a lifestyle. I've watched fish hatch under microscopes in NOAA labs, dredged the most amazing animals from the depths of the Hawaiian coast, opened the eyes of children to watery wonders both in and outside of classrooms, raced sailboats around islands with olympians and friends, and now I'm building a new career around giving others the chance to experience the same, onboard the vessel of their dreams, while still committed to educating youth through a variety of mediums.I studied all things maritime - from aquaculture to zooplankton - at the prestigious Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science of the University of Miami. After refining my relationship with knowledge, and expanding both my technical and communication skills, I feel grateful for the opportunities I've had in school and in my other pursuits that have contributed to my passion for the maritime world, as well as for educating others.In addition to passionately pursuing my life's work, I enjoy spending time competitively racing sailboats such as Snipes (have attended multiple US Nationals, North Americans, Western Hemispheres and earned a spot at my first World Championship in 2019) as well as J24s, J30s, Etchells, Lightnings, and many other classes, fishing, practicing and teaching classical yoga and meditation, singing, writing (see my latest article below), playing various instruments, and many community and teaching involvements in between.I believe that the Golden Rule has never died and always applies - serve others before yourself, if you ever want to be served yourself.
