bRemote is a beehive monitoring system for beekeepers to assist in ensuring health of the bees. Together with three former colleagues we started bRemote in our free time to explore product development and contribute to a whole different industry. As a team, we conducted a market study, gathered requirements, arranged a field installation with professional beekeepers, and we are currently conducting a paid pre-production beta launch with multiple professional beekeepers.My contribution is in business development and customer communication, electrical engineering and PCB design, user interaction wireframe design and project management.

Working on projects in the field of mechatronics and manufacturing support with the focus on new product introduction (NPI).

System engineering and control design of OEM respiratory systems. Performing feasibility study for future system development as well as developing prototype or first series systems for customers. This included design and implementation of functional software in Matlab/Simulink based on the system requirements, prepare and perform system verification and indicate risks that need multidisciplinary attention.

As the Public Relations manager I was responsible for the Publicity of the Tunafestival 2009 in the city centre of Eindhoven. Due to financially hard times I had to come up with an affordable plan while reaching a large and broad audience. Some of the activities where for example, restyling the website, contacting newspapers and other media, arranging radio and tv performances, setting up a poster competition with a local newspaper, arranging graphical publicity at the University campus and arranging flyers and posters to promote the festival.

As a Service Innovation Engineer it is my responsibility to improve severaldepartmental processes for the Technical Service Training department. Main focus isto investigate and introduce new innovative training methods like e-learning andvideo training. This makes training easier accessible for field service engineers andother employees. Besides that I’m initiating and implementing several other newprocesses.• Pilot and implementation of e-learning and video training for FEI Company• Leading the development of several training solutions for other departments• Develop new departmental processes, for example a automated monthlydashboard and a worldwide training evaluation process• Involved in the implementation and roll out of the FEI Learning ManagementSystem in SAP

The research involved a combination of process modelling, robust and modelpredictive control, state feedback linearization and simulation-based optimalcontroller design. The thesis has been rewarded with a 9 and lead to an officialpublication (ISBN: 978-1-4577-1475-7) in the IEEE (Institute of Electrical andElectronics Engineers) magazine.

Design of an intelligent motor control. This involved development of a Digital SignalProcessing (DSP) hardware platform for implementation of the motor control.

Intership for my Bachelor Electrical Engineering. The project involved a research on adjustment possibilities of an optical fiber measurement device called Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). The main problem was malfunctioning in combination with optical multiplexers. After A thorough analysis I presented an explenation and two possible solutions at Cern in France.
