I am interested in artificial intelligence applications. To keep on top of the latest developments in the area, I actively research and author software using the latest technologies.Product ManagementI am an experienced software and hardware product manager, having worked in that capacity by leading teams of senior contributors for small startups as well as large multi-national companies including Cisco and Ericsson (where I was also the Patent Liaison for the USA). AIMy recent programming work in artificial intelligence seeks to improve performance, but also to simplify and explain pattern recognition, neural networks, and machine learning in easy to understand ways that are accessible to non-programmers. My software lets people to see the inner workings and data flow within a deep learning network, presented in formats that are familiar to them. This allows users to confirm the system is performing responsibly and with the correct data needed to accomplish the desired task. Much of my software is published on the Google AI site Kaggle.com where I am currently ranked as "Expert." Since February of 2022 I have been an NVIDIA Ambassador, providing instructor-led beginner and advanced workshops in artificial intelligence, such as anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and edge computing on the Jetson device. I am currently ranked at NVIDIA's Deep Learning Institute's highest instructor level, "Platinum." TeachingWhile earning my PhD I have taught a variety of courses in electronics and mechatronics engineering technology at ECPI University, where I still teach today. I have also held various Director roles as the University needs arose (program, academic affairs, and faculty development) and I also volunteer and have been an active ABET Program Evaluator since 2017.My greatest pleasure comes from explaining the complex in simple ways everyone can understand - and seeing people use that knowledge to go on to do great things.
