As a maintenance team leader in a manufacturing facility, my responsibilities included driving cost efficiency, continuous process improvement, equipment reliability, and a safe working environment. I monitored the performance and competencies of my team, provided leadership and discipline, and identified and developed key technician competencies. I was responsible for overseeing the design and layout of production facilities, including IQF and Repack facilities, as well as managing equipment and capital improvement projects. My tasks included creating project charters, budgets, and timelines, and acting as the point person during commissioning to ensure equipment met the agreed-upon rates. I also investigated and resolved equipment and manufacturing process issues, utilizing emerging technologies to increase productivity, flexibility, and innovation, and identifying technical functionality that aligned with new business capabilities. I implemented CI and LEAN manufacturing principles to increase overall equipment effectiveness and reduce waste, while mitigating food and human safety risks.I planned and managed systems testing activities, created SOP and training materials, and designed, installed, administered, supported, and maintained the SCADA system. I ensured the SCADA system was highly available, reflected the current infrastructure state, and was secure from cybersecurity threats. I acted as the liaison with the managed services provider to configure network hardware and facilitated zero-trust segmentation on internal networks. I was responsible for identifying and driving improvement opportunities in productivity, material consumption, other operation expenses, quality, safety, and space utilization by leading Kaizen Events, 5S, Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, and other CI efforts. I developed and maintained both short and long-term Continuous Improvement Strategy and acted as a change agent, systematically driving the use of Lean Six Sigma for continuous improvement and change throughout the plant.As part of my role, I identified and deployed Lean Six Sigma best practices within the plant and across benchmark facilities, actively developing and improving the focus improvement function and discipline by sharing best practices and projects with peers at other sites. I also coached and mentored employees on the practical application of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, and other continuous improvement initiatives.To monitor progress and effectiveness of process improvement initiatives, I developed, communicated, and implemented key metrics. Additionally, I was responsible for managing plant data to identify impactful business opportunities and drive OEE performance. I served as a Power User for the Syspro system and was a key member of the plant safety steering committee, primarily focused on identifying risk reduction opportunities, leading teams, and ownership of a safety audit section.

I built a highly engaged and competent team of front-line supervisors and operators through careful talent selection, coaching, and feedback including celebrations of team accomplishments. I made sure that front line fruit freezing and repack operations staff had the tools, resources, and training to perform assigned tasks. I informed and vetted short term and long-term production plans in collaboration with the Leadership Team.As the "eye in the sky," I made sure that the day's and week's work plans were scheduled in a manner that optimized workflow. I worked with the SVP of Operations and Leadership Team to research, evaluate and recommend new processes, systems, and equipment focused on improving execution and operating efficiencies, serving as the champion of driving continuous improvement.I utilized Syspro data to measure and manage manufacturing costs, with a focus on reducing unit operating costs. I developed and implemented a comprehensive safety program, established clear targets, documented and broadly shared safety results, and sustained a continuous improvement process to identify and address risk factors.I oversaw the creation and adoption of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the key operating activities and developed a controlled system for maintaining and updating SOPs. I also oversaw the development and management of production and sanitation/housekeeping operating and capital budgets. I collaborated with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure food safety and quality requirements were met for our customers, and with the Maintenance department staff to make sure that equipment PMs were completed on schedule and that repairs were addressed in a timely manner.

As the IT specialist, I supported all devices on the enterprise network, including servers, switches, access points, and workstations. I was also responsible for creating and migrating the paper-based CMMS system to a digital format, ensuring that it was effective and compliant with all SQF and food safety regulations.

I was responsible for setting up the machine correctly for the product being run. I worked diligently to become an expert in all mechanics and functions of the machine, constantly seeking ways to improve the machine's sorting performance. In addition, I regularly conducted 'line checks' to ensure that all other areas of the production line were running optimally, identifying any issues and making necessary adjustments.

With 17 years of experience, I have conducted routine maintenance on both personal and business servers, network components, and workstations, with a specific focus on virus and spyware removal, troubleshooting and replacing hardware failures, and updating and migrating software and systems. Additionally, I have a proven track record of seamlessly transitioning local businesses to cloud services and implementing updated software, computers, hardware, and networks. My extensive expertise in OT and SCADA systems has equipped me with the ability to efficiently set up and integrate such systems, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
