As Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality, I lead the Division of Educator Quality including the following Bureaus:-Bureau of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention which focuses on statewide efforts to recruit, develop and retain high quality teachers that produce positive outcomes for students. I also oversee the initial and continued approval of all teacher preparation and leadership preparation programs at colleges, universities and local school districts. -Bureau of Educator Certification which issues all Florida certificates for teachers and school leaders.-Office of Professional Practices which investigates allegations of misconduct against certified educators I also support the Department's liaison to the Education Practices Commission.
