Dr Bernard Pochet is Belgian (French-speaking). He holds a PhD in Science AIB, is Education specialist, and holds a post-graduate in Information and Documentation Science. He was director of a branch library for 24 years and he is now in charge of research and teaching support for ULiège Library. Also CEO of the Gembloux Academic Publisher, he is director of publication of the international, peer reviewed, journal BASE (Biotechnol. Agron. Soc. Environ.).In addition to his activities in the field of Academic Libraries and Academic Publishing, he has been interested for over 25 years in the issue of Information Literacy. He coordinates working groups on this topic at the university level in French-speaking Belgium. He holds several courses in Scientific Writing and Information Literacy and is author or co-author of more than 60 publications in these fields, including the book "Understanding and mastering scientific literature" published in 2015 and regularly updated.He performed more than 40 teaching or expert missions abroad (universities and research centres in Eastern Europe, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia).
