Brian J. Pohl has over 25 years of experience as a visual effects artist, previs supervisor and educational lecturer. A veteran of George Lucas’ previs team and Industrial Light and Magic's art department, Pohl is credited for creating or supervising previs on over twenty-seven feature films including Star Trek (2009), Independence Day Resurgence, Super 8, Battle: Los Angeles, and Star Wars Episode II. Pohl has also served as an educational and animation consultant for the software development industry designing new tools that assist the digital artist's production workflow.
