MentorBot is an education platform comprising bots for Slack, Telegram, and Facebook Messenger, and an iOS app. I joined the company before one of the pivots when it was called CloudChart. In June 2015 the product was launched as Insights.VC — a micro-learning web service providing bite-sized insights for founders on how to grow their business. In November 2015 the product pivoted to Virtual Mentor, that eventually became MentorBot with the arrival of bot technology. Some notable achievements:- Produced every product-related text and piece of communication, all of it in English, working together with the UX designer and providing insights that shaped the product’s development. Developed Boris the MentorBot character as the main part of the app: dialogues, interactions, social media content.- Developed product marketing strategy, working together with the founders: established the target audience, shaped messages, defined communication channels. Without paid marketing, we got 13 000 users in less than 6 months.- Researched and produced in-app education tracks consisting of insights and advice by successful startup founders and prominent mentors; worked with track authors. Built and managed a team of 8 freelance editors.
