I'm an experienced audio visual technician, competent with audio and lighting but primarily a vision operator. I generally work in the live corporate events environment, but have also worked with festivals, concerts, expo, and parties, as well as managing installations.From 2015 I've been working in the UK, firstly heading up the vision department of South East London production firm PR Live. I was responsible for all technical aspects of the video side of things, from making sure jobs were specified the correct equipment to satisfy client needs, training of staff and freelancers, to maintaining the equipment. This role has seen me working with clients such as Google, UK Film, The Royal Trust, DHL, and many others.I then moved into freelance work, and this has taken me all around the UK, and to many places in EMEA such as Cannes for the International Short Film Festival, Rome for the Google Anti Terrorism initiative, Belgium for DHL's EuroCup, Dubai for the World Retail Congress, as well as Adobe Symposium and Summits in London and Sydney.Since 2017 I have been spending more time in Australia, while maintaining some work in the UK and the Middle East.

As head technician for the vision department, I was responsible for the technical delivery of projection, LED walls, and LED screens, along with associated image and video sources & switching. Media servers, advanced multi-destination live switching, and ultra widescreen formats. I cataloged, maintained, and prepared equipment for internal and external hires.Being competent in audio and lighting, I was often the technician in charge of all aspects of live event delivery.

Working at Staging Connections saw me branch out from my occasional festival and rock-and-roll gigs to a full-time corporate events technician.Beginning my employment with them in Alice Springs taught me fast and hard about making the best show possible with limited resources, and of negotiating with clients to find what can work best to achieve their vision given the equipment, people, and time available. After my short-term contract in Alice finished, I moved back to Newcastle and worked with them from their Sydney office in a casual capacity. I quickly became their go-to 'fixit man' for filling roles in tough situations with difficult clients. If they saw a potentially problematic show coming up, I was sent in to help bring a calming vibe, professional attitude, and technical problem-solving skills. This took me all over the country and Oceania region, from Perth to Fiji.
