Deir Ali 750MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Duties & Responsibilities • Regular audits of site works and EHS management systems, to ensure Company policy and procedures were being accurately implemented, with direct reporting to relevant site and Senior Company Management.• To manage and coordinate the core team to discharge their responsibilities for the Health and Safety of employee‘s in alignment with policies and practices for the project.• Co-ordinate high risk/high consequence activities including, but not limited to lifting operations, hazardous confined space entry, ground disturbance, working at heights, etc.• Specifically manage the HSE process by conducting continuous reviews• Monitoring the performance of those with health and safety responsibilities and reporting on the findings.• Eliminating unsafe working conditions at the place of work, minimizing work injury at site and avoiding loss of man-hours/ man-days.• Keeping detailed records of inspection findings, records of incidents and accidents and producing statistical data for Project Management teams. • Delicately mitigating conflicts arising due to cultural differences in safety behaviours and attitudes.

Uk And International

Duties & Responsibilities• Study, review and update all the company HSE Plans, Environmental Management Plans, policies, emergency procedures, HSE procedures, standards, guidelines, codes of practices & company HSE documents for compliance to the international standards and Approved Codes of Practise (ACOP). • Managing HSE for multi-national workforce, inclusive of subcontractors on the dismantling and shipping of entire plant components to international locations for reassembly.• Implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) to OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 approved standards. Coordinating Safety Officers to multi-tasks, Permits to Work / Method statements / Risk assessments/ Safe Systems of Work / Job Safety Analysis / EHS audits.• Identification of training standards and the introduction of required EHS training according to developed training matrix.• Managing safety plans and procedures for multi tonnage crane lifting operations for safe removal of all installations and ancillary equipments, so as to mitigate and bring risks to A Low as Reasonable Practicable (ALARP), review of lift plans to U.K regulations LOLER 1998. • Managing and organising the safe disposal of hazardous substances such as Asbestos, Crude Oil deposits and carcinogenic’s with the production of risk assessments and methods statements. Waste management system organized on site, correct segregation of waste products for recycling in accordance with the UK, EPA.• Formulating safety incentive /awards program and safety promotional programs to motivate personnel to work safely, creating a positive safety culture.

Ireland
