2001 - 2009: Part time freelancing. 2009 - Present: Dedicated full-time freelance photographer. Working for both editorial and advertising clients. As a contract photographer, I have captured a great variety of subjects in varyingenvironments. Skilled at successfully capturing challenging assignments across all manner ofevents ranging from small, private functions to large, million-dollar, and multiple-day fashionshows. I have delivered professional services to real estate offices, CEOs of corporations,musicians and political figures, among many others. In October 2016, I was invited to be a consumer representative for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. During this time, I have had the opportunity contribute and participate on a number of high level projects, including redesigning the outpatient clinics, reviewing publications for patients and families, and being heavily involved in guiding the Westmead Precinct Redevelopment and particularly in designing a carers retreat for parents and families of children admitted to hospital for three days or less. I attended the NSW Patient Experience Symposium and a Vivid Ideas Workshop representing Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. In 2017 I also joined the parent advisory board at Bear Cottage in Manly and was invited to Moderate the panel discussion for Sydney Ideas panelist discussion on "How can design-led thinking improve health and wellbeing?" at the The Westmead Institute for Medical Research. My drive to contribute is fueled with the hope that I can contribute through my own personal circumstances to directly help to improve the experience of other patients and families and contribute change in a positive way for future families.

I currently have 6000+ images in the Getty Images collection from Entertainment & News assignments from both Australia and North America. With a specialty for photographing the fashion runway, backstage and portraiture for fashion designer clients, as well as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Miami and Sydney.I work with editors to fulfill photographic assignments for various global and local clients and news media outlets. Photographing high profile events, celebrities, products, people and places for current events and news stories. I have extensive experience working on media risers, red carpets and on stake-out assignments that involve using my negotiation and tactical skills to ensure that the job is completed quickly and to the high Getty Images standards. I am responsible for a fast edit of images on site after a shoot and uploading them to the Getty site with speed. I work with onsite editors, second shooters and covering an event as part of a larger photographic team. I am able to work both in a team and independently.

Responsible for teaching aspects of photography and design to third year University students.In consideration of my extensive industry experience, a tenured University instructorspecifically requested that I teach students about photography, photo editing software andindustry skills. Asked to return and teach another semester, I oversaw students in their DesignProject class, giving professional advice on composition and project scope, while teachingstudents about branding and execution of successful marketing campaigns. Also asked toguest lecture on several occasions for other classes, presenting samples of my work portfolioin slideshow format along with edited videos made to show specific examples of what occursin the industry and focusing on specific related topics.Key Results:• Taught students photographic skills and the usage of Adobe CS software suite.• Received glowing feedback from students, specifically praising my passion forphotography, my approachability, and my willingness to assist in any way possible.

Was hired to fill a newly created role of Marketing Photographer. As sole photographer anddesign coordinator, major responsibilities included idea inception, location and modelselection, photo shoot production, photo editing, post processing of RAW images, and imageretouching. Directly managed the entire photographic and editorial process - from conceptthrough to publication - for two full colour monthly lifestyle and fashion magazines andspecialty publications. Set up in-house photography facilities for the Marketing Departmentby purchasing cameras, lighting and studio equipment. Created department proceduresand an organised digital workflow as well as an archive system for digital assets. Daily tasksincluded managing and directing freelance photographers, guiding interns, creating andmaintaining shoot schedules (in studio and at customer locations), producing photo shoots,selecting models, and brainstorming with editorial and management staff on ideas for futureshoots. Responsible fordevelopment of imagery for national collateral, national ad campaigns and environmentalgraphics such as shop-front images and billboards. Produce and photograph a wide rangeof life-style, product, still-life and architectural photography that conveys the corporateidentity. Communicate between departments in different states to organize, plan, schedule,and execute successful photo shoots across the US. Create and meet accurate budgets forthe photography department. Locate and select models and make-up artists, organize allnecessary additional labour, purchase props, personally art direct two-thirds of all shoots andwork with internal art directors for remaining one-third of shoots. Create PhotographyDepartment from the ground up. Responsible for the selection and purchase of over $40,000worth of photographic equipment. Consolidate, organise and archive pre-existing photos aswell as all new agency images. Travelled 60% of the time throughout the USA.
