DUO is a leading provider of personal, home and community support services in and around Canberra.In my role as the inaugural Chief Executive, to date I have successfully:• Led change management strategy and process (through two mergers) that encapsulated governance, strategic and business planning, brand management, corporate cultural change and values, government, customer and other stakeholder relationships, contract renewals, service delivery, insurances, infrastructure and accommodation requirements; • Led change management with the introduction of the NDIS and the aged care reforms, resulting in a significant shift in operations; • Developed partnerships with government and private sectors that included successful tendering for funding for new programs, philanthropic donations, sponsorship and in kind support from corporates to advance service offerings; • Developed organisational ambitions and values, and delivered strategic and business plans including embedding a positive workplace culture;• Worked closely with the leadership team and members of the Board and sub-Committees to deliver on agreed outcomes; • Embedded a person-centred/strengths based approach into all aspects of business, particularly in service delivery to our customers;• Introduced business innovations such as a comprehensive client management system and a Customer Feedback Forum; • Represented DUO in a variety of forums including media covering issues related to disability, aged care, mental health, and community sector, as well as give presentations at conferences on topics of expertise such as mergers and NDIS; and• Fostered strong relationships with stakeholders including Commonwealth and ACT bureaucrats and politicians to influence policy design and community need.

Tandem is a primary provider of respite, personal care and social support to more than 600 children, young people and adults with disabilities, people living with mental illness, frail older people, and their families and carers living in the ACT community.

ACT Athletics is the major provider of competitive athletics in the ACT and represents participants in recognized track and field events. The ACT Athletic programs and competitions cater for all levels of athletes from beginner to national squad athletes. ACT Athletics is an affiliated member of Athletics Australia and participates in, and hosts, national competitions and events. The Association also works collaboratively with the other ACT athletic bodies, the ACT Veterans Athletics Club, the ACT Cross Country Club and ACT Little Athletics through formal agreements and on an informal basis.

Softball ACT currently has over 1200 registered members, with members ranging from 4 years of age, playing diamond ball to more mature members in their 50s and 60s who play in masters competitions across the country. In addition to players, there are many coaches, administrators, scorers and umpires who make up the Softball ACT membership.Softball ACT plays host to a number of significant tournaments and carnivals each season.
