On a J1 visa (student visa) I spent one year working at the Christie Lodge, a time share resort based at the foot of Beaver Creek in the Rocky Mountains. I started as a front desk agent, meeting, greeting and checking in guests and ensuring they had everything they needed during their stay. I also spent some time in the reservations, concierge and marketing/events department to get an all round experience. After 3 months I began to take on management responsibilities which involved running the team of front desk agents and worked closely with the General Manager during the absence of her Personal Assistant. I got a massive amount from my time spent in the US. It certainly opened my eyes to what good Customer Service is all about. Show less
