I started as a member of the studio and jumped on the team when they were looking for an extra hand. I created documentation for inventory and day-to-day studio tasks, took care of expenses, and made (and still make!) some of the best free coffee in Greater Lafayette.Shortly after taking on the position, I leveraged my marketing and social media knowledge to take over the studio’s day-to-day marketing efforts. These include planning and executing educational webinars and workshops, general social media management/content creation, periodic reports on analytics to staff, and more! MatchBOX ended 2020 with well over half a million digital impressions across all platforms on a not-for-profit marketing budget.

I founded AGirlandHerTravels.com, a travel website about living long term as an expat in Russia. I created weekly content centered around living in and traveling around Russia as a foreigner to a global audience.Highlights of the four years it existed? Writing for publications like AirBnb and Fathom, publishing a travel book called “Discover Moscow”, and having my site targeted and briefly blacklisted by the Russian government for attending anti-corruption protests in Moscow.

I spent my years in Moscow and the Moscow Region teaching English to world travelers, 5-year-old billionaires, and the C-suite of several oil companies. (Yes, I’d love to tell you all of the stories.) Because I worked in private schools, I was able to create and execute my own lessons catered to the specific needs of my students.Through my five years of teaching across Moscow, I learned how to communicate through verbal and cultural barriers and fostered relationships within the Moscow corporate community to bring in more business for the school's corporate English program.
