Collaboratively working within York’s network of creative, grassroots and charitable organisations, I have undertaken a number of organisation and delivery roles within the community and arts sector. Projects included: Delivery team for York Design Week 2021 (York’s social justice design festival), Workshop delivery during Drawsome! 2022, Public engagement strategy and evaluation for Green Corridors York. A key ethos across this work has been to ensure arts and community projects are accessible to all, and familiar to many.

“Doing Architecture Differently”, CAT’s ethos is sustainable, community oriented, ethical design. My research thesis and final design project focused on community resilience; how do we build and nurture it’s development in the context of societal upheaval and climate crisis? In brief, my answer was: Together! Whilst attending CAT, I developed software skills (e.g WUFI), critical thinking, communication, and practical construction experience with natural materials.
