I love my job and among my current duties are the following: keeping up-to-date the statistics of the energy sector of LAC Countries; leading the implementation of the Annual Energy Economic Statistical Report of LAC, working together with focal points (Energy Economic Specialists, Legal Energy Specialists, Training Specialists, Energy Planning Specialists, Librarians, etc) that are responsible of providing information of LAC; to provide the countries with the Energy Information Tools to facilitate their work; carrying out energy forecast studies of LAC, participating in Regional an International Meetings related to the Energy Information Systems, Statistics, and Training; to design, prepare and execute online and onsite energy training programs; to seek for funding for training and information management projects in the energy field, to develop proposals for regional cooperation in training, statistics and energy information management, and to authorize the access to the Energy Economic Information System (SIEE), Legal Energy Information System (SIEL), Regional Energy Information System (SIER), Documentary Network of Latin America and the Caribbean (REALC), Annual Statistics Reports, among other tools and products.I have also being involved in different technical projects with other International Organizations such as: CARICOM, CAF, CELAC, CEPAL, UNASUR, IEA, IEF, IAEA, United Nations, PNUD, APEC, APPA, etc.

- Quality control of energy data according to the OLADE's Methodology- Development of technical bulletins, reports and statistical estimationbased on the statistical information stored in the information systems.- Design, develop, test, deploy and launch computer applications for the systematization and automation of the energy sector information.- Review, analyze and diagnose operational applications to identify opportunities for updating and optimization.- Technical maintenance of applications and information systems.- Design, development, maintenance and updating of web pages related to the activities, projects and services.- Establish the functional specifications of the information systems, applications and servicesaccording to the requirements of the Member Countries and users of information and services.- Determine the platforms, operating systems and computer technologies for the development and updating of the information systems.- Identify and propose computer developments to systematize and automate the data collection, validation and information processing for the database update, information systems, and prospective models.- Teamwork in the different energy programs and projects.- Give lectures, training and support in the dissemination of energy information systems, data management methodologies and the dissemination ofresults.- Collaborate in the different training courses.
