As a Policy Analyst at Environment and Climate Change Canada, I contribute policy and engagement support in the Pan-Canadian Framework Implementation Office. I have held similar positions in the International Affairs Branch and Environment and Climate Change Canada where I worked on Canada-China relations with respect to environment and climate change policy, as well as in the Energy Sector at Natural Resources Canada where I provided policy analysis on the subject of nuclear liability and compensation. In the past, I have worked for a number of NGOs in the environmental sector, focusing primarily on environmental research. Examples of past projects include researching climate change adaptation and mitigation issues at local, national and international scales, outlining regulatory policy for the BC geothermal industry, identifying areas of environmental concern in the oil and gas sector, and conducting policy research to support the use of biofuels from waste. I have also volunteered for a number of environmental organizations in Canada, as well as for environmental projects in India and New Zealand. Areas of policy interest: environmental policy, natural resource management, sustainable community planning, social policy and international development.
