Over 30 years experience in the TV and Film industries in Southern California as a director, editor, and visual effects artist.In the early 1980's, I wrote, directed, photographed, and edited TV commercials and industrial films, PSA's, etc. in Southern California for broadcast. During that time I directed the first AIDS Awareness PSA's ever done in the U.S., encouraging safer-sex education and practices.I have created and shot glass matte paintings in the 1980's for Roger Corman and Jon Voight, on various low-budget feature films. I apprenticed at Van der Veer Photo Effects in the late 1970's (while doing their janitorial work to earn my keep).Since 2008 I have created CGI visual effects for the web-series STAR TREK: PHASE II, consisting mostly of the famous Transporter effects, as well as set extensions, matte paintings, animated CGI beams, signs, readouts, and other "invisible art."In 2010 I created VFX and graphics, as well as DVD authoring and production, on the award-winning documentary film RESCUE MEN: The Story of The Pea Island Life Savers.Recently I produced a trailer for Homer Hickam's new novel, CRESCENT. This year I am producing the trailer for Hickam's next novel, THE LUNAR RESCUE COMPANY.My goal is to create effects for films and TV shows, as well as commercials or other moving pictures.
