About Christine Ponzio

I love leading teams and get a lot of satisfaction from creating an environment where high achievers can do their best work. I thrive when the team thrives. I believe great cultures are built on a foundation of shared vulnerability where people feel seen and appreciated for their authentic selves. My team describes me as progressive, innovative, thoughtful, empathetic, fearless, and motivating.Since I’ve built three People Departments from the ground up in the “head of HR” chair, I have a deep understanding of the function. My experience runs the gamut from best-in-class multinational companies to innovative, high-growth start-ups. The common link has always been companies with strong core values and a belief that success depends on people. I am comfortable in a boardroom but also willing to stop by FedEx on my way home to make sure a pay check is delivered on time. The work that gives me the most energy is: employee experience, DEIB, leadership development, organizational design, high volume recruiting, and building scalable systems. I’m grateful for the experience of working at some amazing brands and I have been lucky to work for great leaders who have invested in me along the way. I have a strong growth mindset and love direct feedback. My career started in Learning, expanded to Talent & Human Resources and I hope my future path leads to General Management.
