It is a great honour to work in most profitable unit of refinery . FCC also called heart of the refinery. The main products produced from it are liquidifed petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, heavy naphtha,light cycle oil and clarified oil. The feed used is heavy vacuum gas oil (HVGO) and uncracked oil (UCO) from once through hydro-cracker (OHCU).feed sent to pre-heat train exchangers and natural draft furnace to increase the temperature to around 320 degree Celsius. Then feed send to riser reactor for cracking with fluidised zeolite catalyst come from regenerator .The cracking reaction is endothermic so heat for cracking is provided by catalyst .By cracking main products from according to reactor severity . the product vapours are separated to different fractions in main fractionator column .
