-Completed over 300 hours of service and shadowing in an intensive clinical internship in the Emergency Department, rotating in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room, Adult Psychiatry Department, Social Work, Urgent Care, Trauma Ward, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Operating Room-Supported patients and their families by assisting in requests that fell within our policies, comforting them, making phone calls on their behalf, and interpreting non-medical information-Aided hospital staff with non-medical needs such as transporting patients, preparing stretchers, depositing specimen to the lab, retrieving medication and blood samples, and restocking supplies-Shadowed paramedics and EMTs during an FDNY Ride Along to better understand how emergency medical care is provided in critical situations-Collaborated with volunteers in organizing a community health fair to the Bellevue and greater NYC population in which I increased awareness of HIV/AIDS by reaching out to local non-profits with information on preventative strategies and treatment options to improve well-being. -Led and presented a project proposal to administrative leaders of Bellevue's ED on developing hospital based community gardens and sustainable nutrition programs to address food insecurity
