Formally educated as an architect and a built environment professional, I'm currently finishing M.Sc in Sustainability and Built Environment. Through my thesis work, I aim to understand different kinds of plans that are currently made by various stakeholders, assess if city climate action plans be better integrated with the spatial development plans. I also intend to identify critical enablers & barriers for implementation of selective climate action strategies to arrive at a framework which could facilitate better decision making about financial investments at the local level. The complexity of socio-spatial relationships in the urban, particularly the intersection with identity, environmental psychology, and economy interests me the most. My views on multi-level governance and sustainability have evolved over the years with internship and work experience at various places. Deeply concerned about climate action, thermal comfort in affordable housing, mobility and accessibility, and the importance of clean energy transitions while ensuring sustainable livelihoods, I like to work with teams who aim to build just and equitable urban systems.I also like to closely observe the impact of built spaces on health, and I'm an advocate of good physical and emotional well being. When not working, I like to socialize and surround myself with people who are psychologically aware of power and privileges, people who do not weaponize identities and do not glorify hardships or resilience while holding prejudices but rather believe in justice, support, dignity and equity.
