Pooja Babbrah is a seasoned strategy and product leader focused on healthcare technology and policy. She has spent over two decades leading and growing product and strategy teams with her main focus on growing a company's revenue through a well-defined and focused product strategy.Throughout her career, Pooja’s efforts have been instrumental in bringing more relevant and critical information to providers and patients electronically, which results in improved patient outcomes.Pooja is the former Chair of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Board of Trustees where during her term, she helped lead the organization through a 3- year strategic planning exercise which resulted in the organization’s new strategic efforts focused on pharmacy interoperability, care coordination, and innovation.Pooja was also a member of the Office of National Coordinator (ONC) Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC) Pharmacy Interoperability and Emerging Therapeutics Task Force which was responsible for making recommendations related to pharmacy interoperability to the HITAC Committee. She also sat on the HITAC Interoperability Standards Workgroup which is tasked with making recommendations for new data classes and elements for US Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI).Pooja’s efforts to advance industry adoption of technology resulted in her being asked to testify in front of the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging in 2019 around drug price transparency. Additionally, Pooja shared her expertise for articles in both the New York Times and Forbes Magazine.Prior to joining Point-of-Care Partners, Pooja worked at DrFirst where she built and ran the company’s Product Management team that was focused on new product innovation. At DrFirst, Pooja launched the healthcare industry’s first DEA-certified ePrescribing platform for controlled substances (EPCS).Pooja currently serves as the chair of the Investment Committee for the Arizona State University Foundation – Women and Philanthropy program where she manages the grant proposal process for potential funding.Pooja has her BA in Business Administration/Information Systems from the University of Washington and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
