• Budgeting and strategic planning for the magazine.• Set the tone, editorial direction and policies for the publication and make sure every issue is consistent with these measures• Suggest ideas, assign articles and handle all problems• Keep everything on schedule and answer questions from department editors• Fill in for Editor in Chief• Responsible for the type of content produced by the magazine, the look of the product, and the nature and number of stories/articles to be written• Ultimately responsible for the final product

The purpose of a student council is to develop leadership by involving students in functions beyond just their classrooms, student council gives students opportunity to demonstrate their talents while learning useful skills for the workplace and community. Through student council, student leaders can pursue personal and collective interests by organizing community outreach and other events and motivating the participation of their peers. The student council also serves as an interface between school management, staff, parents and students.
