Project: Host MonitoringThis project aims at Monitoring all hosts across PayPal• Co-led the design, implementation & deployment of 10+ year old monitoring system to a modern Time-Series (TSDB) infrastructure (InfluxDB)• As a part of monitoring replatforming, implemented an alerting solution using Java, Spring, Nodejs, RabbitMQ and Rest APIs. • Played a major role as a PM by coordinating with the various teams in getting team requirements, identified matching solutions, set up environments, and validating. Project: Autobox, a tool for automated decomThe project aimed at making the PayPal site reliable, available by automating the process of decommissioning the servers, used by the Command Center Responsibilities and Accomplishments• Implementing the project using technologies like Java, Node.js, MySQL (quantify numbers)• Responsible for developing RESTful APIs, business logic including checking for pool depletion, invoking CMS APIs to fetch pool and node information using Spring Boot• Building the UI component in JavaScript and Node.js for the users to submit the requests for decommissioning, marking down nodes/pools and removing them.• Creating authorization and authentication module using LDAP• Integrated notifications with Service Now, Jira, PACE and Slack APIs

She has experience on J2EE technologies as well as database management. She has contributed to the following projects:Client: Supply Chain Management in Retail.The project aims at providing global expansion to the company and save millions of dollars on order fulfillment. Responsibilities and Accomplishments• Project Implementation: Responsible for developing front end of supply allocation system and custom attribute system using JSP, JQuery, HTML. Wrote backend services for inventory fulfillments and allocations, logistics, custom document updates and invoicing using Java, Spring, REST. Integrated legacy system with new systems. Unit testing the application using Junit, Mockito. Configuring and querying the non-relational database, MongoDB. Introduced concepts like Google Collections to improve code quality. • Agile Coaching: Responsible for coaching non agile team members. Client: Large Retail CorporationPooja took the role of an Application Developer for what became the client’s most important project of 2010. She was involved in successful delivery of two projects for the client. She was as a part of an Agile team which built a disaster recovery site. This site was used for planned outages and also as a backup site. It was developed using Java, JSP. It also involved deploying and maintaining the application on Amazon EC2 servers. The second project involved working very closely with the client to build a webservice which would be used by a number of applications as the central repository of data. The application would store the data in a NoSQL database called Riak and provide efficient searching of data over a RESTful interface. She was also involved in writing chef recipes for automating the process of building and maintaining the servers. With new members joining the team, she took the role of a coaching new team members and sharing knowledge on the team.

Client: Large Automotive Auctioning CorporationThe project aimed at maintaining and extending the feature set of a live online vehicle auction system. Responsibilities and Accomplishments• Resourcefulness: Experience of working in different roles across the entire software development life cycle (SDLC)• Requirement Gathering: Conducted Idea jam sessions to crowd source new capabilities for an existing product; Participated in end user testing session to gather customer requirements and feedback.• Hands on Technical Involvement: Responsible for migrating the buyers’ client app from a java applet to JavaScript. Implementing new functionality using Java, Spiking out the use of liberator and successfully configuring it. Incremental migration of the database from a legacy db2 system to a MySql database. • Project Delivery: Successfully delivered the project in production environment. Responsibilities included Project Implementation, Risk management, Performance evaluation, and enabling communication with people at the auction site to work towards a common goal.
