Client: Large Retail CorporationPooja took the role of an Application Developer for what became the client’s most important project of 2010. She was involved in successful delivery of two projects for the client. She was as a part of an Agile team which built a disaster recovery site. This site was used for planned outages and also as a backup site. It was developed using Java, JSP. It also involved deploying and maintaining the application on Amazon EC2 servers. The second project involved working very closely with the client to build a webservice which would be used by a number of applications as the central repository of data. The application would store the data in a NoSQL database called Riak and provide efficient searching of data over a RESTful interface. She was also involved in writing chef recipes for automating the process of building and maintaining the servers. With new members joining the team, she took the role of a coaching new team members and sharing knowledge on the team.
