- I work within a team of professionals, assisting the project managers in the drafting and design of site/ civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of land development and water resources projects;- I prepare the site layouts, grading and earthwork calculations, erosion and sediment control design and permitting, land development permits, storm water management design and permitting, SWPPPs, storm water engineering reports;- I review local zoning codes and regulations, preliminary entitlements, I process submittals and permitting requirements, as it relates to civil engineering;- Many times I help the survey team by completing field assignments (construction staking, layouts, elevation calculations, "as built" drawings/maps) utilizing survey software, GPS and robotic survey equipment, working independently or under the supervision of a surveyor. I look for better ways to design and develop each project based on particularities in the field, to avoid conflicts and integrate the civil design with the landscape, MEP and architectural design.- I assist in maintaining client relationship by striving to provide great services and quality through our deliverables;- I attend meetings with clients or regulatory agencies to establish their goals and discuss engineering design/permitting issues.
