You may deduce that it has something to do with being a wordsmith or a linguist, which would be correct. However, I use Noah Webster’s first definition from his 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language, “Primarily, a love of words, or a desire to know the origin and construction of language.” It’s not just about the words themselves but how they are used to communicate effectively through grammar, context, content, tone, voice, etc. It’s not communication unless the reader or listener understands what you mean. That led me to write my book, “Who’s Changing the Meaning?” about how word definitions change and its social effects. Changing word definitions creates misunderstandings and miscommunication to the point where you can be accused of meaning something you didn't even say.What is a Multipotentialite?
