About Phillip Porter

Commencing my professional life as an entrepreneurial Industrial Chemist, my career has traversed marketing, project management, customer service and sales. For the last 20 years I have held key leadership logistics and supply chain roles within tough and complex manufacturing environments.I have achieved national award winning success by applying an analytical helicopter view of organisation’s supply chain models. This resulted in robustly re-engineering systems and resources which significantly reduced inventory and operating costs, increased cash flow, improved customer service and supplier status. A builder of motivated and engaged cross functional teams, my management style is nimble, collaborative, rewards and integrity focused with an easy readiness to make the hard decisions. An active contributor to the supply chain sector throughout Australia & New Zealand, I have been a key member of numerous industry groups and government advisory associations. Most notably I was the Chairman of the Freight Customer Group for over 3 years representing a diverse range of industries and import/export markets.
