My genuine passion for and in-depth personal knowledge of Northern Portugal, its people, places, culture and traditions, led me to create the hugely successful incoming tour company, Portugal Green Walks, in 2011. My team and I delight in offering personalised quality self-guided hiking and cycling holidays that enable visitors to discover the best aspects of Northern Portugal, from the Atlantic coast to its mountains, natural parks and unique wine regions, not to mention its beloved gastronomy. Portugal Green Walks is also a leading local expert on the Portuguese Camino de Santiago.Branching off from my background in information technology and project management, I gained two post-graduate degrees, one in Management and another in the Planning and Development of Tourist Products. As a guest professor at the Cávado and Ave Polytechnic Institute and Viana do Castelo Polytechnic Institute, I was able to share my love and knowledge of tourism as the Chair of Tourism and Tourist Activities between 2010 and 2012. I speak at multiple seminars and conferences related to tourism and entrepreneurship.I am always seeking opportunities to get myself involved in new challenges :-)
