Intimidated by a Principles of Accounting course, I began my university studies in Community Engagement and the Nonprofit Sector. What started as a trial quickly revealed itself as a passion. Growing up, I wanted to create stronger communities but needed to figure out what that would involve. Two short years later, I proudly graduated from Murray State University with a degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Nonprofit Leadership Studies and a goal to make my home of West Kentucky more equitable. In my current role, I use my skillsets in communication, relationship-building, creativity, and experience in nonprofit development to build stronger communities. I have worked in all aspects of the world of nonprofits. Whether it be event planning, volunteer management and recruitment, resource allocation, or systems development, no job is too big or too small. Outside of work, you can find me on the road to a new-to-me music venue, trying a drink from your favorite local coffee shop, or trying to come up with the next great one-liner joke.
