I was working together with a team on a new product development for a client. It was the shortest time period spent in a single company in my career because I really missed the development of SaaS products so decided to stop there and move on.Key takeaways:- Worked in scrum by the guidebook with all the values, roles, ceremonies and artifacts- Created and maintained product technical architecture from zero focusing on values delivered by MVP- Gained some experience working with Atlassian stack: JIRA for backlog and sprints, Confluence for documentation, Bitbucket for source storage and CI/CD pipelines- Run some workshops about testing/QA- Contributed to the preparation of user stories, shared ideas how to make it ready for developers with all the necessary type of information- Consulted about the possible ways of modernizing legacy applications

Almost 4 years of journey briefly:- Continuously sought an empathy with design and business people- Learned a lot about software-as-a-service and its technical side including all the topics of scalable service- Maintained the main product and its services- Developed public and internal HTTP APIs and webhooks including documentation- Integrated with other products like Zapier and PieSync- Collaborated with customer support in solving technical issues- Designed and implemented the backend of new features, I am especially proud of automation workflows that was released in 2017 and it brought a lot of lessons- Improved infrastructure and operations together with sysadmins/devops- Took a lead role in the engineering team in the last year- Participated in establishing workflows and processes for engineering- Participated in hiring, reviewing and mentoring engineers- Participated in research and prototyping new products

Everyone knows that the internet is full of educational resources but not everyone is courage enough to start alone. Learning in a group with a lecturer is the social occasion at first. Also having an experienced mentor is the thing I lacked when I made my first steps in software engineering so I want to help others now because of that.Students had the crash course of HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and MySQL basics first by other lecturer and then I took a part with Laravel framework. During that period, I had 3 small groups of students so almost 20 people made their first steps in software development. In the end, everyone created a project depending on their skills. I was really amazed of their results.It was not easy days because of intensity while combining it with full-time job but it is a huge pleasure to empower others and seeing their progress. So I really value this experience and I hope to continue with mentoring and lecturing in the future.

My first steps working in a team after the first years of freelancing as web developer.
