I am the business lead for transmission planning with POWER Engineers, Inc. I'm responsible for the vision and direction of our team. I bring more than 15 years of experience working on power generation and power delivery projects and give our team the resources and guidance they need to deliver successful, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to our clients.I specialize in power system studies including;• Transmission planning studies• NERC compliance studies• Generator deliverability studies• Generator interconnection studies• Electromagnetic transient studies• Black start studies• Power system modeling and validation studies• Load modeling• Transmission line design• Substation designThroughout my career, I’ve had broad exposure to power system analyses, and as a result, have become versed at performing different types of analyses: steady state analysis, short circuit analysis, transient stability analysis, electromagnetic transient analysis, and harmonics analysis. I work with a diverse set of software related to planning and electrical studies: PTI PSS/E, GE PSLF, PowerWorld, PowerFactory, PSCAD, EMTP/ATP, EMTP-RV, Aspen, CAPE, ETAP, SKM, TARA, MUST, CDEGS, and WinIGS.I am also working towards an Interdisciplinary Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused on assessing transmission system security under extreme weather events from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am serving as the chair of the Reliability Impact of Inverter Based Resources Working Group in the IEEE PES Transmission Subcommittee.Licensed Professional Engineer in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas.
