Medupi Power Station-Lepalale

Medupi Power Station, Civil Work, involve the construction of all the foundations and bases for other contractors. The works were designed by the Employer under FIDIC Contract, and the original scope was supposed to be completed by August 2012. The works are in excess of R8 Billion.

Site based Qs for the preparing of the following, and not limited to:1) Monthly Valuation2) Preparation of monthly Cost Reports and reconcialiation of all underclaims, overclaims, accruals etc3) Preparation of new rates for new items4) Indentification of variations5) Build up to claims6) Liasing with engineer on new rates, valuations, variations and claims7) Payments to sunbcontractors and associated valuation of subcontract works8) Capturing of site photos as future reference point and source of site activity monitoring9) Site measurements from both construction drawings and redline drawings

I have been with Murray and Roberts for six years now. My main duties are:1) Preparation of Monthly Interim Valuations and submission to the client. This involves agreeing on quantities, identification and agreeing of new items/new scope2) Preparation of the Monthly Financial Report (Cost Report) and presenting it to MANCO.3) Doing measurements from drawings and or site instructions and valuing of variations.4) Pricing new items/rates5) monitoring subcontractor valuations and making payments to the same effect6) Measuring and agreeing Expedited Works with the client
