With a lifelong goal of working with computers, I've pushed myself to learn all that I can with the resources available. Although, most of my technical and soft skills are self-taught, I have obtained my Google IT Support Professional Certification and continue to further my knowledge in IT in pursuit of a career in IT. I have acquired and continue to polish my technical skills such as: IT Administration, Network Infrastructure, and IT Security. Alongside, my soft skills such as: communication, adaptability, empathy, and leadership/team management which allow me to be a great team player in any professional environment. Creativity and technology are two passions of mine. When I discovered a career in IT, I realized that I could meld them together. Expressing creativity through webpages, I quickly taught myself a few basic coding languages such as, HTML, CSS, and JS. Wanting to know more, I began researching different specialties within the IT community, and found that what I've been doing in my free time, I could do professionally and thrive with new challenges. My creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to adapt to any situation aids me greatly when learning, troubleshooting, fixing issues.Before retail, I worked in the automotive industry. My 'engineering mindset' helped to view a section, or component in a different way to see the 'bigger picture'. My hard work ethic and adaptability allowed me to thrive in the ever changing industry. From managing ticketed services, to organizing a fleet of vehicles, I learned to communicate and show leadership, through managing small teams to increase overall production. Thanks to my decade of customer service experience in the automotive field, communicating with customers, vendors, management come naturally.I want to pursue a career in the IT industry, so that I can use further my knowledge and skill set, as well as, to ensure that I can be passionate about what I do, by helping others with their IT needs.
