A leader and public policy expert committed to advancing Indigenous Rights and increasing resources for Indigenous Peoples. Before joining the Assembly of First Nations, Amber Potts had a 20-year career in the Canadian federal public service focused on Indigenous policy development and program delivery. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Public Administration degree from Dalhousie University. She also sits on the board of the First Nations Information Governance Centre.Raised in Piikani Nation in southern Alberta, Amber is proud to have been raised ranching and rodeoing. She now lives in unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin territory with her husband and children.
