New: My current role as a consultant with External Affairs provides the opportunity to engage with Associate Giving and Volunteerism. One of the varied tasks in this role is to consult with business unit community engagement councils as we plan the campaigns and the activities for each one. Additionally, I lead the Blood Donation Program across the country to keep the tradition alive at Nationwide that we have had since the 1940s. til May of 2022: As an Office of Corporate Citizenship Consultant for Nationwide Insurance, I engage with our increasing number of permanent work from home associates across the country. We connect with our national nonprofit partners, American Red Cross, United Way and Feeding America affiliated food banks as well as other local non profits. Increasing volunteerism, blood donation and community engagement among our work from home associates is our goal. For many years now at Nationwide, I’ve been the Humanitarian Response Coordinator now at a national level. Our relationship with the American Red Cross disaster relief teams proves to be a valuable partnership to us both as we connect in order to help victims of natural disasters.
