Cognos was later acquired by IBM and David moved into Global Business Services as a Finance Leader in the Business Analytics Global Center of Competence. He was responsible for Finance focused solutions using IBM software assets. He then moved into a Global Brand Manager / Finance leader role for IBM's Outsourcing division (Cognitive Process Transformation), until January 2018, when he started working as an independent financial transformation consultant. David took on what became his current role with ACAUS / CAW Network USA, in February 2019.
