I joined Anton Collins Mitchell LLP (ACM) as an Audit Associate after graduating from Colorado State University with a Degree in Accounting and a Certificate in Financial Analysis. My work primarily concerned financial reporting audits for public and larger private corporations. This work enabled me to develop client relationships and a core understanding of financial accounting and reporting. My work included financial analysis, financial statement testwork, analysis and documentation of internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley testwork and documentation.In 2008 I participated in ACM’s internal exchange program and spent time working in the Tax Department. The program was established to provide members of the firm a chance to diversify their talents and expertise. The value-add consulting, tax law research and application, and tax accounting attracted me to stay in the Tax Department. Now I am a Tax Director.My focus is primarily on corporate and pass-through entity taxation, international consulting, compliance, tax accrual preparation and review, and working with mid-market companies. I have worked with clients in the aviation, manufacturing, technology & software, oil & gas, alternative energy, professional services and financial services industries.I take my obligation to coach and mentor staff very seriously. I am also active in our in-house Continuing Professional Education program.I received the Denver Business Journal's "People on the Move" recognition in January 2014, and again in October 2015 for been named a 2015 "Top 10 Public Accounting Professional Rising Stars" in Colorado by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals. The award is designed to recognize outstanding public accounting professionals who have been practicing for less than 15 years.
