A common activity as a Production Assistant is keeping the public from walking into the camera range of a shot, which requires good interpersonal skills, especially when shooting in a highly populated areas. Production assistants also prep locations so that they are protected during the filming process and convey local regulations to crew when shooting in public spaces.
